About RAD Connect Cairns
In the early 1990’s, Black & White Taxis decided to establish their own communications department to service & maintain the taxi fleet’s two-way radios & data dispatch equipment. The services offered have since been extended to service local councils, government departments, transport operators and the public generally.
Recognising the broad range of communication services and the diversity of customers, the trading name was changed in 2009 to RAD Connect Cairns. The business continues as a wholly owned division of Black & White Taxis and benefits from experience developed from the highly technical nature of modern radio and data communication facilities employed for taxi operations.
RAD Connect Cairns operate radio repeater sites throughout the Cairns region enabling the provision of reliable radio and data communication services from Tully to Port Douglas and the Atherton Tablelands. Services offered include advice and sales of appropriate radios and equipment, installations and repairs.
Our committed staff have years of experience in the installation and maintenance of all types of two-way radio systems from a single UHF install in a vehicle to a complex multi fleet multi site system – all from our Cairns location.
